Hart Parish Council is committed to representing all sections of the community and, at the same time, to encourage provision of a wide range of events and activities within the parish, for all residents, irrespective of age!

To aim to develop and progress current ideas in order to keep pace with the needs of the community of Hart and its local environment. To present the Hall as a facilitator for wide ranging events to suit all ages and aspects of the community. To maintain and enhance the fabric and internal fittings of the Hall in order to make them both accessible and attractive to all Hall users. For all Hall users to enjoy the experience offered.

St Mary Magdalene Church

The monument includes the remains of a set of fishponds of medieval date, situated immediately north of the associated medieval manorial complex at Hart. The manorial complex is the subject of a separate scheduling.

We encourage all residents to participate in the Public Forum held at the start of every Parish Council meeting, as well as the Annual Parish Meeting - to raise concerns or issues with parish councillors or the parish clerk if unable to attend the meeting in person.

The Events Group is independent of the Parish Council and, amongst other things, organises the annual fireworks display and summer fete. The Events Group has a Facebook page: Hart Village Events, and also manages the Hart Village hub - on Facebook.

The Village Hall hosts events and meetings of many groups and is available for bookings by the public.

Hart has an active community life, with an Events group organising a wide range of activities and a busy village hall hosting many groups; the parish church and village school also contribute to what makes Hart a special place to live.

The village has many flower tubs, especially in Front Street, which are planted and maintained by villagers, adding a wonderful splash of colour and perfume, especially in the summer.

We are also very fortunate to have a Defibrillator unit, placed on the external wall of the Village Hall in Front Street.
